Alabama man accused of attacking pregnant girlfriend with steaming hot iron has not been caught for TWO years

Police in Talladega, Alabama are still seeking out a man accused of in the alleged assault of a pregnant woman with a steaming hot iron two years ago

According to Crime-Online, Skyy Fomby is the primary suspect in the steaming hot iron assault, which took place in December 2021.

Fomby is accused of attacking his then-girlfriend and having injured her arm and face.The woman was ironing a shirt at the time of the attack.

Skyy Jamar Fomby has been hiding from police since the September 2021 incident, police said.

“Skyy Jamar Fomby is wanted for Felony Domestic Violence and Felony Assault,” Talladega police said in a statement about the steaming hot iron attack.

“Fomby is accused of attacking his then 8-month pregnant girlfriend with a hot iron. The victim was ironing a shirt when Skyy Fomby picked up the iron and caused injury to her arm and face,” the press release continued.

“The victim fled the residence and sought medical attention for her injuries at the Citizens Baptist Hospital in Talladega, Alabama.”

CBS 42 reports that Fomby is also wanted on numerous other charges unconnected to the attack on his girlfriend.

Skyy Jamar Fomby, 36, has been hiding from authorities for nearly two years, according to Talladega PD. He is also wanted on multiple other charges including burglary, theft and drug charges.

It wasn’t immediately clear if police had any leads on where Fomby went in the wake of the alleged steaming hot iron assault.

“The offense occurred in September of 2021 but Fomby has been hiding from the Police since the incident,” police said in their statement.

“Fomby is also listed to be wanted for multiple other offenses such as burglary, felony theft, felony criminal mischief, and drug charges.”

Anyone with information regarding Fomby’s whereabouts is asked to contact police as soon as possible.

Talladega police have warrants for Fomby’s arrest for felony domestic violence and felony assault. He’s also wanted for other offenses, including burglary, theft, criminal mischief, and drug charges.

“Fomby is described as a 36-year-old black male, 6’2” ft. in height, and weighing approximately 185lbs,” police said of the suspect in the steaming hot iron assault.

It wasn’t immediately clear if police have any leads in the investigation into the suspect’s whereabouts.

Attorney information for Fomby wasn’t immediately available.

Authorities are continuing to investigate.
