A man’s best buddy is undoubtedly a devoted dog. In this remarkable tale, this furry family member even saved the life of his owner, Harry Smith, while out for a stroll. Harry’s electric wheelchair dumps him into a lake in an unusual turn of events, but his devoted dog saves the day.

“She’s a wonderful puppy.” “Everyone in this neighborhood adores her, and they all keep an eye on her,” Harry explained. Thank goodness she’s a boss dog because she stepped in to help Harry when he needed it the most.

When Harry’s wheelchair became stuck in the mulch while taking Sarah Jane for her routine tour of the neighborhood, the two became separated. When he lost traction and slid down the side of an embankment near the lake, he realized he was in serious trouble. The next thing Harry knew, he was underwater and upside down.

Sarah Jane sensed her owner’s life was in jeopardy. The devoted dog barked wildly and splashed around in the water, attempting to attract the attention of everybody and everyone. And thank God for it. Edward Suhling, Aby “Jacob” Chacko, was drawn to her constant barking and splashing.

They initially believed the Beagle-Hound mix was in danger. They assumed she was being assaulted by alligators who frequent the lake on occasion. However, upon closer inspection, the couple noticed Harry’s head just above the water, his wheelchair overturned. As they ran to save their neighbor from drowning to death, Edward and Aby flagged down a neighboring cop.

Edward explained, “The dog was splashing in the water.” “So we both dashed over here, and I dived in the water, and my buddy grabbed his arms and I grabbed his legs, and we hauled him up onto the shore.”

“As soon as I saw the wheelchair and the dog, I knew it was Harry, and I knew he couldn’t walk,” Aby explained.

When the three men dragged Harry from the water and examined him for injuries, they were startled to discover he was only drenched and agitated. This incident may have ended horribly if Harry’s devoted dog hadn’t done everything she could to harness her inner Lassie and save the day.

Everyone hailed Sarah Jane for being a hero before the police pushed Harry home. Harry explained, “I gave her a treat.” “I’ve always loved her and always will.”

It’s remarkable how God ensures we have all that we need in this life. Even before we ask, he knows what we require. For Harry, it’s his beloved boss dog, Sarah Jane. She brings him joy, companionship, and even saves his life because of her loyalty and devotion to her own. In honor of their friendship, may we all give our furry family members extra treats and rubs.
