Prosecutors have charged a Bristow man, Adam Raymond Mason, on Friday, August 28, following the death of his daughter. US Attorney Trent Shores had revealed that Mason, 29, has been charged with first-degree murder in Indian County. As reported by Fox, Shores had revealed, “this is heartbreaking. The alleged victim was set to start kindergarten next week.”
Shores added: “Now, it is time for our criminal justice system to go to work. The FBI, ATF, Creek County Sheriff’s Office, and Muscogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorse Tribal Police will continue their joint investigation.” He also said, “Assistant US Attorney Ryan Roberts and I will prosecute the case to the fullest extent of the law and seek to prove to a jury the defendant’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. In the meantime, my team of victim specialists will work closely with the surviving family to ensure they are connected with appropriate resources as this case proceeds in federal court.”
As per the federal complaint, Mason had “punched, drowned, and then burned the body of his five-year-old daughter because he believed she was being controlled by witchcraft,” prosecutors revealed.
The police revealed that Mason had admitted to burning the child’s body on a creek bed in Oklahoma. The incident had taken place on or around August 25 and August 26. The child’s mother had called the Creek County deputies in order to check on her daughter on August 26 after Mason refused to allow the mother to speak with the child. When deputies arrived at Mason’s house, they found the child dead. They were able to locate Mason around a mile west of the home and arrested him.

“What father would do this? Let me tell what kind of person. He has no heart at no the prison system in kind of mixed up cuz if he get parole for whatever reason or years say 30 he will only serve 15 for good behavior and let out the other 15 on parole you see he will be out on parole. He should get the death penalty or life without parole.
Gave him 5 to life cuz he took his daughter life. Didn’t give her the chance to grow up or go to school. Is ok cuz god has a school for all the little angles that didn’t have a chance to go to school either but your time is coming. You will get the death penalty where your going, the inmates are going to wait when you get there. RIP little angel cuz god has you now. You will never cry but only tears of joy cuz you’re in heaven now justice will be served,” commented another user.
