Taylor Swift Eras Moment During Chiefs Win Sends Internet Into Meltdown

Taylor Swift’s fans clocked the perfect moment between her final Eras Tour show and a game-winning play by the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

The “Bad Blood” singer performed the last concert of her behemoth Eras Tour in Vancouver, Canada, on Sunday and, while many celebrities were in attendance, Swift’s boyfriend could not make it.

She has been dating the Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce since 2023, and he helped his team clinch a tight 19-17 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.

Some people watching the game at home also had a livestream of the concert playing at the same time. The Chiefs needed to kick a field goal with one second of play left to win the game and, as they successfully kicked the goal, Swift can be heard singing her popular hit “You Belong With Me.”

“That field goal was Tayvoodoo at its finest,” read one caption on a video posted to X, formerly Twitter.

“Please watch this woman catch the exact moment that the chiefs won in comparison to where the concert was,” read the post on the viral clip of the moment.

Another fan replied saying they too were watching the concert livestream alongside the Chiefs game.

“I was watching both at the same time also. She said ‘hey isn’t this easy’ right before,” wrote @indilay, referring to the ball first hitting the post during the field goal, before going over and winning the game for the Chiefs.

Swift started the Eras Tour in March 2023, and it quickly became the highest-grossing live music tour of all time, with expectations that it will make $2 billion overall.

Partway through the tour, Swift extended the run from a little more than 50 to 152 dates across five continents due to unprecedented demand. She ended up performing 149 shows—three concerts in Austria were canceled due to a terror threat—to more than 10 million people.

The Eras Tour helped Swift reach billionaire status; she was worth an estimated $570 million when it first started, compared to the $1.6 billion she is thought to be worth now, per Forbes.

The magazine said that Swift was “the first musician to make the billionaire ranking primarily based on her songs and performances.” Her fortune “includes nearly $600 million amassed from royalties and touring, plus a music catalog worth an estimated $600 million and some $125 million in real estate.”

While Swift has not announced what she plans to do next, some experts think that she will release a behind-the-scenes documentary about the Eras Tour and also start to experiment with different genres of music.
