The NHS’s and Prostate Cancer UK’s joint campaign to encourage men to use the foundation’s prostate risk checker tool is the reason for the rise. Between August 2021 and August 2022.244,415, nearly 40,000 more people than ever before will undergo urological examinations, including screenings for prostate disease.Since its launch in February, the risk checker has been used more than one million times, assisting 1,800 additional men in receiving a diagnosis.

Prostate cancer is one of the most frequently diagnosed types of cancer.Treatment at stages one and two has a close to 100% survival rate, whereas treatment at stages four only has a 50% survival rate.

The NHS is continuing to implement extensive plans to increase early diagnosis in accordance with the NHS Long Term Plan’s goal of increasing the number of cancers detected early. These plans incorporate drug store tried disease side effect hotlines and high-road malignant growth screenings.

The NHS’s head, Amanda Pritchard, stated:As a direct result of campaigns and tens of thousands more requests for screenings, we have treated an increasing number of men with prostate cancer over the past year.Cancer conversations save lives.

The news that early detection of prostate cancer has a survival rate close to 100 percent and that receiving treatment significantly increases the likelihood of survival should be encouraging to men and their families.

“We are continuing to roll out one-stop shops for tests in the heart of local communities and pharmacy checks on the high street as new and convenient ways for people to get checked. We would like to discover more cancers earlier, when treatment is simpler.

We are urging men with health issues to get checked out this “Movember.”You can quickly and effectively determine your own risk of developing prostate cancer by using the online risk checker.

This month, known as “Movember,” charitable organizations and the Public Wellbeing Administration (NHS) are urging men to get checked for early signs of disease.
