The first weekend after her daughter Leni departed for college, according to Heidi Klum, she called “every two hours” until Leni picked up.
On Monday’s edition of The Late Late Show with James Corden, Klum revealed that Leni, 18, had relocated to New York City to start college. The new separation, according to Klum, is concerning—especially when Leni doesn’t pick up the phone.
Her first day of college was today, Klum informed Corden. She recently moved in, so when I phoned, she generally answered, but I didn’t hear back for three or four hours. Even as I’m thinking this, I’m asking myself, “Where is she? What is she? Does she answer? ” The concerns have already started.“I had been calling this weekend like this, I was calling back every two hours, and I was like, ‘Why don’t you just call me back?’” Klum continued. “Now I want the roommate’s number so I can bug the roommate if she doesn’t answer.”
Even though she was worried, Klum added in an interview with Entertainment Today at the beginning of August that she was proud of her daughter, who “had her mind twisted right up.” In addition, Leni is familiar with New York City, since Klum moved there with the family every time she shot “Project Runway”. Klum claims that their daughter, who has already begun her own modeling career, preferred to attend college rather than work.
She told Entertainment Tonight, “I think she’s going to have a nice time, but my heart will be sad.
Leni, whose real father is the Italian entrepreneur Flavio Briatore, and their other three kids, Henry, 16, Johan, 15, and Lou, 12, are shared by Klum and her ex-husband Seal. Tom Kaulitz, a guitarist with Tokio Hotel, is Klum’s current husband.
